How we work

Everything that happensbetween the first calland the signature.

A company sale often takes most of a year. This is how a typical process unfolds, what is prepared before buyers enter and where your decisions matter most.

The process

Six stages, in the order they happen.

Timings vary with the company and the market. This is the shape of a normal process, and we tell you at the start where yours is likely to differ.

01Months 1 to 2

Understanding the company

We learn how the business earns, what makes it valuable, where the risks sit and what a buyer is likely to question. The financial picture and its sources are organised. Your advisor develops the valuation and explains the reasoning.

YouOpen conversations and access to the relevant figures.

The buyer search

We map strategic buyers and investors across the relevant market, including candidates beyond the usual network. Each is assessed for fit, financial capacity and potential conflicts before your advisor recommends a list.

YouDecide who may be approached and who must not be.

The work behind it

How the work stays connected.

A sale creates a large body of connected work. A number in the model affects the valuation. A meeting changes the buyer case. A diligence answer must agree with the information memorandum and the source beneath both. When those threads are separated, mistakes and delays follow.

Jordan is our internal AI deal manager. It keeps that working context together and coordinates specialised agents across research, analysis, drafting and diligence. The purpose is not to replace the advisor. It is to give the advisor a more complete and current basis for each decision.

Jordan does not advise you and does not contact buyers. Your senior advisor reviews what matters, decides what should happen next and approves every external release. The system provides continuity and depth. The advisor provides judgement and accountability.

In confidence

The clearest way to understand this is against your own company.

Tell us roughly what you have and what you are considering, and we will walk you through what the process would look like in your case.
